testing if your motherboard is good

Testing if your motherboard is good
In most cases there isn't a way to actually test the motherboard but instead you troubleshoot components inside the computer. first would be to test the power supplies with a multimeter or a psu tester. if that test out good you then have to test components like the ram. try replacing them with other known good sticks of ram. if that don't fix the problem try swaping video cards. if that don't work the last step is to remove the heatsink from your cpu. then turn the computer on and feel the cpu while the computer is running if it starts to get warm then your cpu is fine and the motherboard is most likely bad. in this case you need to buy a new motherboard.
